When my children act as if they were raised in a barn, it is because they are being raised in a barn. This is a album of the construction of our barn house. Is is a very non-traditional home, but we love it. It has lots of character, it’s rustic and warm. It took us two long years to complete, actually the frame was erected in 4 days. The frame is from an 1865 barn from upstate New York. It was originally owned by the Meyer family. Homestead Heritage out of Elm Mott, Texas raised the barn frame for us and we had a contractor put the final construction together.
